According to sub-divisional magistrate Virendra Lathar, a fourth worker fell unconscious inside the waste dump in the tragedy which occurred in the morning when one of them had gone to clean the area.
According to sources, a migrant labourer hailing from Bihar, identified as Jayram, fell unconscious after entering the dump in the morning.
Three other labourers from Bihar - Bharat, Rajbir and Pradip - who went to his rescue, too, fell unconscious inside the dump.
When the four were finally rescued from the dump by other factory workers, it was found that Pradip, Bharat and Rajbir had succumbed while Jayram was still unconscious.
The bodies of the deceased have been sent for a post-mortem while the unconscious worker has been referred to a private hospital in Delhi, police said, adding that a probe has been opened into the matter.
