The Chennai-based company had posted a standalone profit of Rs 52.45 crore in the year-ago period, it said in a statement.
Net sales climbed to Rs 2,034.71 crore in the third quarter from Rs 1,802.61 crore a year earlier.
TVS Motor said it sold 5.12 lakh two-wheelers in the quarter, compared with 5.03 lakh units in the same period of the previous year.
Motorcycle sales rose to 2.07 lakh units from 1.97 lakh units. Scooter sales increased to 1.23 lakh units from 1.12 lakh units, it added.
The company said three-wheeler sales increased 52 per cent to 20,701 units.
TVS Motor shares gained 5.09 per cent to Rs 71.25 in afternoon trade on the BSE.
