Traders said sentiment remained firm after copper advanced in global markets amid falling stockpiles as investors await the outcome of the US Federal Reserve's two- day policy meeting.
Meanwhile, copper for delivery in three months climbed 0.6 per cent to 7,184 dollar a metric tonne on the London Metal Exchange.
In the national capital, copper mixed scrap and nickel (4x4)rose by Rs 2 each to Rs 441 and Rs 1072-1073, while zinc ingot traded higher by the same margin to Rs 121-127 per kg respectively.
