Two accused in suicide case surrender in Punjab

Two persons accused of abetting suicide of a man on June 11 in Shashtrinagar locality, today surrended themselves, police said.
Rakesh Kumar and Kasturi Lal today surrendered before the police in connection with suicide of one Nishan Singh, Assistant Commissioner of Police (West) Ravindrapal Singh Sandhu said.
Replying to an query, Sandhu said that police have not been able to trace another accused, local BJP leader Pradeep Khullar yet.
Police would present them in a Magistrate's court tomorrow, he said.
Nishan Singh, who used iron clothes for living, committed suicide on June 11 at his residence here after allegedly being harassed by electricity department officials and Khullar.
On the statement of Singh's wife Seema, a case of abetment to suicide was registered against Khullar, electricity department officer Subhash Chand and two others.
