Two arrested, five booked for beating up policeman

Two brothers have been arrested and five others of the same family booked on charges of beating up a head constable and keeping him in confinement at Sakeet town here, police said today.
On Friday, Sub-Inspector Mahendra Pal Singh and Head Constable Narayan Singh raided the house of one Akhilesh who is wanted in a case, they said.
The head constable who entered the house was kept in confinement by the family members of the accused and was beaten up, police said, adding, the sub-inspector called for help following which a police force reached the spot and rescued the constable, police said.

While Akhilesh managed to flee, his two brothers Ajay and Vijay were arrested and a criminal case was registered against them and five other members of the family, they said.
