Two arrested for molesting a teenager

Two persons were arrested today for allegedly molesting a teenager and beating up her male friend at a place near Ashoka cinema hall at Behala in Kolkata, the police said.
Sk Akram and Bijoy Das were arrested for molesting a teenage girl who was along with her male friend.
The duo made indecent remarks when the girl was passing by the area and tried to molest her. When the male friend of the girl protested the duo beat him up. The girl raised an alarm following which the locals caught hold of the duo and handed over them to the police, the police said.

In a separate incident, a private tutor was arrested in the evening for sexually assaulting a nine-year-old student in Jadavpur area of Kolkata, sources said.
Madhusudan Naskar was arrested after the girl's parents filed an complaint to the police alleging that Naskar had sexually assaulted their minor daughter.
Naskar was arrested and the police have started an investigation.
