Gaurav alias Deepak alias Nitin was arrested from a rickshaw stand in Vijay Nagar on specific inputs and receiver of the snatched mobile phone, Paras alias Bhure, following Gaurav's interrogation, a senior police officer said, adding a robbed mobile phone was recovered from his possession.
According to police, on the intervening night of December 15 and 16 last year, Gaurav along with his two associates Naresh alias Pappu Pager and Pradeep robbed Rs 500, a wrist watch and two mobile phones from two persons.
"Accused Naresh and Pradeep were caught on the spot by the police while Gaurav succeeded in escaping and had been evading his arrest," said P Karunakaran, DCP North West district said.
