19-year-old Naieem alias Vicky and 35-year-old Iqbal Sabbak, both residents of Seemapuri, were arrested on specific inputs that they would be coming to New Delhi Railway station with huge quantity of stolen mobile handsets in their possession, a senior police official said.
18 mobiles, kept in a bag, were recovered from Naieem's possession while 20 mobile were recovered from the Iqbal.
During interrogation, they said that mobiles were stolen from different part of Delhi by snatchers Dilip and Judi (both residents of Balimiki Mandir, Nabi Karim) and Bali from Sankar Piao Nabi Karim, Delhi.
"The snatchers used to sell the stolen mobile to Imran and Naieem on very cheap rate who further sold it in a weekly market to different people," DCP Central District D C Srivastav said.
Further investigation were on and efforts were being made to nab associates Judi, Bali and Dilip.
