The victims have gone to collect date fruits from near a pond when rain accompanied by thunders struck the Tota Modidih area in the afternoon, said officer-in-charge of the Palasdih police station, Vinod Kumar Singh.
Singh said 16-year-old Vidhan Koda and 13-year-old Krishna Koda were killed on the spot while Bishnu Koda sustained severe burn injuries in the incident and was admitted to a local hospital.
A police team have rushed in the remote village and recovered the bodies, Singh added.
