US official says Afghan candidates to agree audit

A US official has expressed confidence that both Afghan presidential candidates will agree to a comprehensive audit of last month's voting, the preliminary results of which will be released tomorrow.
United States Senator Carl Milton Levin said today that he met with Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai and received assurances by both that they would agree to the audit.
Levin said that while the partial results will be announced tomorrow, but he expects another announcement later which would be just as important.
