Two jawans of Border Security Force (BSF) allegedly committed suicide in Rajasthan's Jaisalmer district, police said today.
Fifty-year-old DK Tamta, a havildar of 56th battalion, shot himself with his rifle on Tuesday, Jaisalmer city police said.
A resident of Champavat district in Uttarakhand, Tamta had talked to his family members over the phone before taking the extreme step. The reason behind his suicide is being investigated, police said.
In the second incident, havildar Jogendra Singh of 20 Guards was found hanging in a store, police said.
Hailing from Charkhi Dadri in Haryana, Singh allegedly committed suicide owing to some domestic dispute, they said.
