Two-day seminar on Indian Maritime History concludes

The first edition of the "Dilli" series INA Seminar on "Indian Maritime History Expeditions, Operations & Players" concluded at the Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala here today.
Thirteen papers were presented during the seminar, covering various topics including "Important Expeditions and Sea Battles of Indian Maritime History", "Indian Naval contribution in the First and Second World Wars" and "Indo-Pak Conflict of 1971" on the inaugural day.
Today's sessions largely dwelt on the recent operations undertaken by the Navy and the presence of other Navies in the Indian Ocean, a release from INA said.
Mohan Guruswamy of the Centre for Policy Alternatives, New Delhi, delivered the valedictory address during the closing ceremony.

Vice Admiral P Ajit Kumar, Commandant, INA, thanked all those presented the papers, chairpersons and eminent academicians and luminaries present for the "intellectually enriching experience" provided to the audience, especially to INA cadets, through high quality deliberations on the subject.
