The trouble erupted last night after a group objected to the playing of loudspeaker at a religious place in the Nanglamal village in the district and beat up some men.
A youth was shot dead and a 55-year-old woman also died of heart attack on seeing his body, police said.
Irate people blocked the Garh road near the hospital where both of them were admitted and late in the night police restored the traffic movement.
Six persons have been arrested and Mudali police station SHO Vaseem Khan has been suspended for dereliction of duty, SSP Deepak Kumar said.
