The first incident took place in west Delhi's Ranhola area on afternoon last, where a 21-year-old youth was stabbed to death allegedly by a group of local youths when the victim, identified as Mohit Kumar, denied them money for buying liquor.
"The incident took place when Mohit along with Rahul and Shiv was out to celebrate Holi. They were stopped by Rakesh, Vicky and Pawan who asked them to shell out money to buy liquor. When Mohit's group refused to do so, an altercation broke out between the two groups during which Vicky took out a knife and stabbed Mohit in his abdomen," said a senior police official.
A case of murder has been registered against the three accused and a manhunt launched to nab the attackers.
Mohit, a student of BA and also pursuing a course in multimedia from a private institute, was staying with his family in Vikas Nagar locality in Ranhola.
In the second incident, which took place in central Delhi's Daryaganj area late last night, a 30-year-old rickshaw puller was beaten to death when a drunken brawl broke out between him and his friends over distribution of money.
A case of murder has been registered and Saurabh has been arrested, police said.
