"Constable Yashpal of the 3rd Battalion of the IRP was seriously injured when the bike he was travelling on was hit by a speeding truck on the flyover in Jammu yesterday," a police spokesman said.
He said the injured was rushed to the hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
"The police has seized the truck, but the driver is absconding," he said.
In another incident, a youth of Jammu city died on spot when his bike skidded off the road on Tawi bridge, police said.
"The youth died on the spot, while the pillion rider was injured," the spokesman said.
