Two drown in separate incidents

Two teenagers drowned while bathing in river Jhelum in separate incidents in Kashmir Valley, police said.
Sakib Ahmad Malik (17), a resident of Cheek-i-Dar Mattan village of Bijbehara in south Kashmir's Anantnag district, had gone to take a bath in the river when he drowned yesterday, they said.
Efforts are on to recover the body.
In another incident, Adil Ahmad Kuhchay (16), a resident of Barsoo in Awantipora area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district, was drowned in the river while bathing near his home, police said.
Adil's body was fished out from the river and handed over to his relatives for last rites, they added.
