Two hacked to death in Kurnool

Two persons were hacked to death while another was injured after they were attacked with sharp weapons by some persons at Haligera village in Kurnool district today, police said.
The trio, who are related to each other, were attacked in the evening by a group, apparently in retaliation to the murder of a person in 2013, police said based on preliminary information.
"Two persons were hacked to death while another person sustained injuries after a group attacked them at around 6.30 pm. The injured person was admitted to a hospital in Adoni," Adoni DSP Shivram Reddy said.
The deceased are identified as B Srinivasulu and B Mallaiah. One of the deceased is an accused in the 2013 murder case.

Prima facie the murders are a fallout of an old rivalry as the attackers seemingly bore a grudge against the trio in connection with a 2013 murder case, the officer said.
No arrests are made yet, he added.
