Police claimed to have seized gold and silver ornaments, foreign and Indian currency, and vehicles worth Rs 1.40 crore from Jafar Irani and Amjad Pathan.
Deputy commissioner of police (Crime) Pankaj Dahane said during the investigation, the duo confessed to their role in 51 cases of chain-snatchings, cheating, vehicle theft and burglary.
"We have so far detected 51 cases and seized gold and silver ornaments, foreign as well as Indian currency, an SUV, motorcycles, total worth Rs 1.40 crore," he said, adding that police are interrogating the duo.
