According to Sub Divisional Police Officer (SDPO), Kahalgaon, Ramanand Kumar Kaushal, the incident took place near Ranjitgarh village under Sanokhar police station area.
Two persons, Rishi Das (32) and Manju Devi (50) died on the spot, while Ravidas and Sita Kumari received serious injuries. Two other passengers of the auto-rickshaw Muni Lal and Vinay Panjiyara received minor injuries.
Drivers of both the vehicles fled the spot and police has seized the auto-rickshaw and the truck, the SDPO said.
