The mishap struck them near Nunachati village under Rasagobindpur police station when the area was lashed by heavy downpour accompanied by lightning.
The deceased were Gulu Besra and his wife Nami Besra and the injured was Sasmita Behera who belonged to a nearby village, office-in-charge of Rasagobindpur, police station, Ramakanta Muduli said.
Lightning had taken eight lives in last four days in the district. Six farm labourers, including four women, were killed and another was critically injured after lightning struck them on September 16 near Khunta canal Chhak under Khunta police station.
