Two NDFB militants arrested in Army & Assam Police joint op

Two NDFB(S) militants were arrested and a cache of arms and ammunition was recovered from them in Kokrajhar district by a joint team of the Army and the Assam Police.
"Based on specific information, the Army launched a joint search operation with the Police in Titaguri on July 12.
During the search, two NDFB(S) terrorists were apprehended," a Defence spokesperson said in a statement.
The duo have been identified as Gautam Basumatary and Sankang Basumatary.
"One pistol, one hand grenade, few live rounds and other war like stores were recovered from the apprehended terrorists," the official added.
