Two on bike harass girls in Powai

Two persons were today booked for allegedly making obscene gestures at a group of girls near a mall in upscale Powai area of the city, the police said.
The incident took place at around 11:45 AM when the complainant (19) and her friends were returning from college, a senior official said.
He said two bike-borne persons who were stalking the girls made objectionable gestures at them and also passed lewd comments, said DCP (Zone X) ND Reddy.
The duo fled the spot when the girls confronted them and raised an alarm, he said.
Police have booked the unidentified duo under sections 354 D (stalking) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.

Police are going through the footage of CCTVs installed in the area to trace the duo.
