Two women attacked in separate incidents in UP, one dies

One woman was killed and another seriously injured in two separate incidents when they were attacked in their homes here, police said today.
Both women, living separately from their husbands, were attacked yesterday, a police official said.
In the first incident, 45-year-old Shobha Devi was strangulated to death by unidentified miscreants, at her house in Minachi Puram area, SHO Kushal Pal Singh said.
Devi was living with her two children, he said.
The police has registered a case against unidentified miscreants on the basis of a complaint by her daughter.
The second incident took place in Civil Lines area in which one Kanun Priya was stabbed by her husband, Ashish Chohan.

She was living in her parent's house, police said.
According to complaint lodged by the victim, she was attacked by her husband and brother-in-law.
A case has been registered against the alleged assaulters, both of whom are are absconding, police said.
