A man is feared drowned in Pindar river in Gopeshwar district as the seven-decade old bridge on it, which had suffered damage in the mid-june flash floods, collapsed today.
The man has been identified as Harendra Singh and efforts are being made to trace him, officials said.
Singh was returning from a nearby market when the bridge collapsed, they said.
Despite the bridge getting damaged in the June calamity, villagers in the area had no choice but to use it to go to nearby towns for getting the essentials.
