In another case, DRDO has issued a notice to a serving scientist for allegedly bypassing the prescribed channel of communication and directly writing to Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar and the Prime Minister's Office about an ongoing corruption probe by Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) against another senior scientist nominated for a coveted award.
In the first case, DRDO, in a letter to whistleblower Prabhu Dandriyal, who left the organisation in 2003 and runs a website, said the allegations reported by him to the Public Grievances website were "frivolous".
Rule 8 of the Pension Rules says "Pension subject to future good conduct".
"I have been writing to expose the corruption in the DRDO and now they have threatened to take away my pension. I have written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi donating my pension to the PM's relief fund," Dandriyal said.
