Unique hand-washing event aimed at setting world record

In an attempt to break the existing Guinness book of World Records of hand washing relay, 1000 participants have registered to take part in the Hand Wash event at two-day 36th Fair, organized in association with the Marketing Association of XLRI (MAXI) from today.
The response was tremendous as hundreds of people including women and children had to return empty handed as the organizers had to turn away many owing to the capacity crowd at the Tata auditorium here.
An estimated 1000 persons including children and women registered to take part in the event, to be framed on lens with set guidelines of the Guinness record of World record, said Tarun Bagri, a member of administrative team.

The videography as well as the photographs of event being taken as per the guidelines set would then be sent to the Guiness to judge.
As per the guidelines, each participant would be alloted ten seconds time to wash hand following the standard procedures.
