The governor emphasized the availability of health care services in terms of physical infrastructure and trained manpower, including doctors, nurses and auxiliary nurses.
He also underscored the need for quality and affordability healthcare services for the vast majority of the population.
Acharya said, India has an unmatched heritage represented by its ancient systems of medicine like Ayurvedic, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy which are a treasure house of knowledge for preventive and promotive healthcare.
"Let us give our best today for a healthy and vibrant Arunachal Pradesh tomorrow," he added.
The governor was speaking at the inaugural function of the 10th General Conference of Arunachal Pradesh Doctors' Association (APDA) here.
"Teachers and doctors are the foundations for a better and healthier society. The cause of the doctors and teachers are always close to my heart," he said.
While stating that achievers must be givers, the governor pointed out that empowered people must explore ways and means to address the challenges of the society without involving the government.
