UP education dept officials arrested on bribery charges

Two officials of Uttar Pradesh education department were arrested for accepting a bribe from government primary school teachers here, a senior official said today.
Auditor Mukesh Gupta and his assistant Shivnarayan Singh were caught accepting bribe of Rs 10,000 from the teachers for removing error in school accounts, Basic Shiksha Adhikari (BSA) K K Singh said.
Police have registered a case and arrested the duo.
