Addressing an election rally at Vairengte town on the Mizoram-Assam border on the last day of campaigning for the Mizoram Assembly elections scheduled for November 25, Singh said the border dispute would be resolved if BJP came to power at the Centre.
Accusing the Congress of not implementing road projects initiated during the erstwhile NDA regime, for which adequate fund was allocated, the BJP president promised more road connectivity in the Northeast if his party came in a position to implement its promises.
Singh was the first and only top BJP leader to visit Mizoram while Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, AICC president Sonia Gandhi and AICC vice-president Rahul Gandhi campaigned and addressed rallies in different places of the state during the past two weeks in favour of the Congress.
