Leader of Opposition in the state Assembly Ajay Bhatt accused government functionaries of undertaking too many trips abroad and to Delhi by air and said it had burdened the state exchequer.
In comparison to the last financial year, 67 more air trips have been undertaken by the government which amounts to blowing away hard earned public money on pure luxury, Bhatt said, alleging that none of the trips were undertaken in public interest.
Demanding Bahuguna government's resignation on moral grounds over the issue, the BJP leader said the air trips undertaken by ministers to Delhi were meant to promote their own interests and not those of the public.
