Former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee's ashes were today immersed in the river Godavari here.
The urn containing the late leader's ashes was immersed at the Ram Kund here in the presence of Maharashtra ministers Girish Mahajan and Mahadev Jankar and local BJP leaders.
Earlier the urn was taken to the river bank in a procession from the BJP office.
The former prime minister passed away at the age of 93 in New Delhi on August 16.
