Vehicle knocks down leopardess

A leopardess was today mowed down by a speeding vehicle on the Sathyamangalam-Mysore main road.
The animal was chasing a deer when it was knocked down by the vehicle around 4 am, forest officials said.]
Forest officials removed the carcass.
A veterinarian, after the autopsy, said the leopardess was run over by a vehicle.
The carcass was later buried.
