Video shows man being assaulted by two assailants in public

A video purportedly showing a man being brutally assaulted and kicked by two assailants, with the police and public remaining mute spectators, today went viral on the social media.
The video showed the bleeding man lying on the ground and being kicked and assaulted by two others.
However, the assaulted man also hit his two assailants with a dagger and injured them, police said.
All the three Sudeep, Hanumantha and Sunil who were injured are in the age group of 20-25.
According to police, the trouble broke out over friendship with a girl.
Sunil and Dhanush, both students of a private college in Hassan had differences over the latter's friendship with a girl, they said.

Both of them picked up an argument as they came face to face at a bus stand, police said, adding, Dhanush called his brother Sudeep who came to the spot with his friend Hanumantha.

Sudeep and Hanumantha assaulted Sunil even as many other students and passengers were mute spectators, as also the policemen.
Sunil also took a dagger and hit both Sudeep and Hanumantha, injuring them.
The Hassan Extension police reached the spot and shifted the injured to the hospital.
