Vij finds Naib Tehsildar drunk, suspended

A Naib Tensildar was today suspended after Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij found him inebriated during a surprise visit to Tehsil office in Ambala Cantt.
An officer said that on receiving some complaint, Vij today made a surprise visit to the tehsil office here and when he asked some questions to the Naib Tehsilbar (revenue official), the official was unable to give a proper reply as he was "drunk".
Vij immediately summoned deputy commissioner and the SDM there and asked them to get the medical examination of the official done, the officer said.
Some of the employees of the office were found absent and the cash collected is not maintained in the register properly, he said.

The Minister said that he has asked the SDM to conduct a probe into the matter and if the Naib Tehsildar was found guilty strict action be taken against him.
Later in the evening, Deputy commissioner Mandeep Singh Barar said that the Naib Tahsildar who was allegedly found inebriated has been placed under suspension with immediate effect.
