State-owned Vijaya Bank on Friday got shareholders' approval to raise Rs 900 crore by issuing equity shares.

The approval came at the Bank's Annual General Meeting, the bank said, but did not provide any time-frame for raising the funds.

Vijaya Bank's shareholders also approved the audited balance sheet for FY16.

Bengaluru headquartered Vijaya Bank's stock on Friday closed at Rs 35.65 on BSE, down 1.79%.
