Director Vikas Bahl has shown Shahid Kapoor's wife Mira their upcoming film "Shaandaar", the actor has said.
Shahid made the revelation when asked by the mediapersons what he gifted his wife on her birthday earlier this week.
While he kept mum on the gift, the 34-year-old actor revealed, "Vikas Bahl went and called Mira and showed her 'Shaandaar', which only she has seen and not even me."
The film, co-starring Alia Bhatt, is scheduled to release coinciding with Dussehra next month.
Shahid, who tied the knot with Mira in a private ceremony on July 7, had shared a picture of the duo on Instagram and captioned it, "#happybirthdaybabywife" on her birthday a few days back.
The actor surprised everyone by taking to social media to express his love and affection for Mira.
At the promotional event of launch of a song in "Shaandaar" today, the actor was flooded with queries from reporters relating to his marriage and the birthday gift, which Shahid, as usual, refused to entertain.
Alia, however, interjected saying, "Time and again I have to tell you all that don't ask marriage questions."
To this, a reporter shot back saying the question was aimed at Shahid's marriage and not at hers.
Alia replied, "If you ask marriage questions at such film events how can we talk?"
Shahid did not answer a query based on reports that a post-wedding bachelor's bash would be organised for him by Bahl.
The director was earlier rumoured to throw the bash for Shahid during his wedding week but the plan could not take-off owing to the "Haider" star's busy schedule.
Referring to a line "Gandh hai"...In the song, Bahl quipped, "We will create so much gandh that Shahid will forget that he is married.
