Pilgrims from any part of the world can choose a date and time of their convenience for the 'darshan' by accessing the website www.Ssabarimalaq.Com, Travancore Devaswom Board (TDB), administering the hill temple which attracts lakhs of devotees every year, said in a release here today.
The system, introduced a few years ago by the Kerala Police as part of crowd management during the peak season, has been utilised by thousands of devotees since then.
On completion of the registration, the devotees should save and take the print-out of the virtual queue coupon. The coupon should be shown at the verification counter at base camp Pampa and get entry card, with which they can trek upto the
'nadapandal' close to the shrine, without wasting long hours in the queue.
Those who have registered should carry their photo ID card. However, this is not necessary in the case of pilgrims aged below 18.
