"Natesan has taken crores of rupees as bribe from those who wanted appointments in Naryayana Trust run colleges during the last four years", Achuthanandan alleged.
The nonagenarian opposition leader and former Chief Minister levelled this charge at a seminar at Kanachukulangara in Alapuzha district.
"Has anyone from the community got appointed to the colleges without giving donations? He (Natesan) has used the money only to fill his pockets. Not even a single rupee has been spent for the uplift of the community," he alleged.
Not taking kindly to the barbs, Natesan, who is in Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi, told reporters that he would challenge Achuthanandan to prove the allegations.
Natesan said if the allegations are found true, he was prepared to quit public life.
"However, if VS is unable to prove the allegations, will he be prepared to quit public life?', he asked.
