Walnut prices declined by Rs 5 per kg in the national capital today largely due to subdued demand from retailers and stockists.
Further, adequate stocks position following increased arrivals from producing belts also put pressure on walnut prices.
Walnut and its kernel prices drifted by Rs 5 each to conclude at Rs 220-320 and Rs 675-870 per kg, respectively.
Traders said subdued demand from retailers and stockists, mainly led to the fall in walnut prices.
The following were today's quotations (per 40 kg):
Almond (California) Rs 17,800 Almond (Gurbandi-new) Rs 8,300-8,500; Almond (Girdhi) Rs 4,600-4,900; Abjosh Afghani Rs 8,000-22,000.
Almond Kernel (California-new) Rs 615-640 per kg, Almond Kernel (Gurbandi-new) Rs 500-540 per kg.
