"We did well and a victory always results feeling high. It was Shane Watson's exceptional innings which saw us home. It was a great effort. We did not have any particular plan but it was home ground and the ball was swinging around and we did everything well.
"The death bowling was also good but we should not have allowed them to reach 144 after having them reeling at 29 for 6. Sammy played a good knock and almost took it away from us," the left-arm paceman said.
"We have started well and now hope to get on a roll. Every team wants to reach the finals," said Faulkner who has been included in Australian team for Ashes series.
Regarding preparations for Ashes, Faulkner said,"At least here I am getting to play cricket. It requires different skills and craft and I have to sharpen it and more over the wickets would be different too.
