She was being forced by the SHO Farsh Bazar in Sahadara to leave her rented premises at the instance of the previous owner of the house who has an ongoing property dispute with the present owner, her landlord, the woman has alleged in her plea.
Issuing a notice to the police chief, the SHO Farsh Bazar in Sahadara, Justice V Kameswar sought their responses by January 3, 2014 on the plea filed by one Shyama Devi from Viswash Nagar.
"Number of PCR calls were made but none came to protect the life of the petitioner and her daughter when both of them were being tortured and beaten in the police station," the plea said and sought an inquiry either by " Crime branch or CBI" into the episode.
The woman also sought a direction to the Police Commissioner to take action against the SHO.
