Woman attempts suicide over marital discord

Arti tried to commit suicide by consuming acid and was rushed to a nearby government hospital where she is undergoing treatment, they said.

She alleged that her mother-in-law had abducted her husband and police was not pursuing her case.

"It appears to be a case of marital discord. We are investigating the matter," police said.
