Woman files rape attempt complaint against two men

A woman has filed a complaint with police here that two unidentified men in a drunken state manhandled her and attempted to rape her in her house, an officer said.
The incident occurred on the night of May 13.
According to the complaint, the victim was alone at her house when two culprits came and sat at the doorsteps. The woman opened the door and tried to make them go away, but the duo instead entered the house and tried to rape her. When the woman resisted, the men also hit her, police said.
The victim then raised alarm and her father along with some neighbours came to her rescue, they said.

They then hit the victim by a mobile phone and fled away from the spot on their motorcycle, police added.
A case has been registered at Police Station Old Faridabad under section IPC sections 354 (assault) and 452 (house-trespass).
Police have started investigations in the case, said investigations officer ASI Suman Lata.
