AAP MLA Jarnail Singh today raised the issue of disparity in the pay scale of ex-cadre officials of the Directorate of Information and Publicity and other officers of other departments in the Delhi Assembly.
Speaking under rule 280, Singh, who is an MLA from Rajouri Garden, said, "It is important to note that the officers of DIP were selected by UPSC, as in case of DANICS, but in last 30 years, the government has paid no heed to the pay scale of ex-cadre officers and officials of the Department of Information and Publicity and as a result these government officials have been left out," he said.
