Mashruffa was married to Liyakat, both natives of Bihar, and the couple stayed in a rented accommodation in Khoda Colony of the district.
Indirapuram police received a call about her death this morning, police said.
Police team spotted Mashruffa lying in an unconscious condition in bedroom and rushed her to a nearby hospital, where she was declared dead.
Prima facie, it appears that the woman was strangled to death, according to police.
The police suspect Liyakat's involvement in the crime as he has been absconding since morning.
