Shanti Devi, wife of one Gulan Chand of Khadoot village here, jumped into the river, they said.
Police and locals launched a search operation, but no whereabouts were found of her in the river, he said, adding that the reason behind her taking the step is not known.
A case has been registered in this regard, police said.
