Woman killed, husband injured by robber in Jaipur

A woman was killed and her husband injured when a robber attacked them in their house today in Ganesh Vihar colony here, police said.
The incident occurred this morning around 0730 hrs, when the accused entered the couple's kitchen by jumping through the backyard while Brahmidevi (55) was making tea, police said.
The robber attacked Brahmidevi and her husband Ram Singh with a knife but later fled without taking any thing, police said.
The accused was nabbed by the neighbours, they added.
The couple was rushed to a hospital, where Brahmidevi, who had received multiple stab wounds, succumbed to her injuries.

The accused has been identified as Vinod Mandal working with in a hotel as a worker, police said.
An investigation is on and the accused has been booked under various sections of the IPC for murder and robbery, they said.
