According to police, the incident took place in the afternoon when two men barged into the victim's house.
"The duo first strangulated Mohi (29) and then abducted the three-year-old child," said a police official.
Mohi's husband was not in the house at the time of the incident.
Prima facie it seems a case of personal enmity, the official said, adding the matter was being probed.
