Yami Gautam, Divya Khosla light up ICW ramp as showstoppers

"Sanam Re" actress-director duo Yami Gautam and Divya Khosla Kumar took centrestage on the ramp at India Couture Week's third day as they turned showstoppers for designers Rimple & Harpreet Narula and Reynu Tandon, respectively.
Yami, who has sported the designer duo's creations on several occasions in the past, confidently strutted down the fashion ramp in a midnight blue bridal lehenga-choli set and said she would love to have them design her wedding outfit.
"Even though it is very heavy no doubt, any bride would be delighted to wear it. When it is your big day you don't care about weight of the garment because you are too happy. I would request them to create my wedding look," Yami said.

The ensemble, which the 27-year-old actress wore, was part of Rimple and Harpreet's latest couture line titled "Hirayat", which saw a transition from day to night in its colour palette as it went from ivory, beige, marsala culminating to midnight blue.
Motifs of various monuments, birds and tribals featured heavily on the garments, which were mostly lehengas, fringe blouses, jackets, skirts for women and achkan, sherwani, churidaars completed the menswear.
"Our collection is a tale of travels. Whenever we both travel we get inspired by lot of things and include in our collection. It is all about motifs. We thought it will be a riot of motifs. Every outfit has a tale of its own," the designers said.

Divya turned a Rajasthani bride for Reynu's couture show titled "Kaman Gari", which was all about redefining the traditional bride featuring the whole zari and gota tradition of the state in hues of red and gold.

The actress-turned-director wore a red-traditional lehenga-set which she accesorised with a Rajasthani borla.
The silhouettes reflected Rajasthani heritage with usage of foil paintings, block prints on khadi fabrics.
"It was very nostalgic for me as my first film 'Ab Tumhare Hawale Watan Saathiyo' also was set in Rajasthan. Even for my wedding I wore a borla. I love Reynu's line. It reflects the new-age bride," Divya said.
