Yesteryear music director Omi no more

Noted music director Om Prakash Sonik, who was also known as Omi, part of the Sonik-Omi duo, passed away here today after a brief illness, family sources said.
Omi, who was 77, is survived by son Som and daughter Sudha.
He was born in Sialkot (now in Pakistan) and his family had moved to India after Partition in 1947.
The Sonik-Omi team gave music to over 100 Hindi films.
